Osmow's Shawarma - Markham

The shawarma was mediocre and fell apart in my hands, ultimately leaving me with a stomachache. The service, on the other hand, was quite good. Update: I’ve lowered my rating to 1 star because the pain has intensified.

The portion sizes are ample, and the prices are reasonable. However, the chicken was a bit dry. The restaurant is clean and provides a comfortable ambiance. There are limited options for complimentary toppings, and the service could use some improvement.

I ordered the regular-sized Chicken on the Rocks, and it was worth every cent. The portion was generous, and the flavor was outstanding. I truly loved it!

I placed a pickup order at 1:20 PM and arrived at 1:40 PM. I was informed there would be a 15-minute wait, which I thought was reasonable at the time. However, it soon became apparent that this location is severely understaffed; I didn’t receive my order until 2:10 PM—almost 30 minutes later! To make matters worse, the staff served other customers who had ordered after me and prioritized online orders, despite the long line of in-person customers waiting. When I finally got home, eager to enjoy my large chicken on the rocks, I was shocked to find that the portion was significantly smaller than what I had paid for. I am extremely disappointed with this experience and will not be returning to this location.

When I arrived home, I was shocked to find that they had accidentally made a poutine for me. Instead of correcting their mistake, they had the audacity to cover it up with the typical chicken stick sauces. To make matters worse, the fries were overcooked. Even though we saw them frying a fresh batch, we were still served brown fries. It would be wonderful if they could pay more attention to food preparation for their customers.
