Was Bee Knight at Komeya a mag?
The ingredients were fresh, but the portion sizes were somewhat small. The poke bowl featuring salmon and kale noodles included a fair amount of vegetables, but it was short on salmon and noodles. The shredded beef in black pepper sauce could also benefit from more greens. I've definitely had more flavorful poke bowls at other places. What Matt Au Yeung dislikes about Komeya:
I was pleasantly surprised by the torched salmon sushi rice, which was truly delicious. Unfortunately, the Unagi Don and Baked Chicken Rice with black pepper sauce were both disappointing. The spring rolls were overcooked, and the other dishes were quite basic, especially considering their higher price point. View all feedback.

I had my first experience trying the poke at Komeya, and I opted for the salmon avocado with sushi rice. Overall, I liked it and appreciated the café's ambiance. The salmon and avocado were flavorful and complemented the sushi rice well. However, I didn’t particularly care for the tomatoes in the dish, as I felt they didn’t add to the overall taste. All in all, it was a decent experience, but not one that stands out. I would rate it 3.5 stars.

A hidden gem for poke bowls! This cozy little spot features just two tables and a bar area by the window. Although we were initially hesitant to try it, we're so glad we decided to go in. We ordered a tuna kale noodle bowl and a salmon poke bowl, which are essentially the same dish but with different fish and types of carbs. The poke bowl surpassed many I've had at various sushi restaurants, but the kale noodles were the real standout. They were delightfully springy and paired perfectly with the sesame sauce. We also ordered the miso udon for our child. While I can't compare it to ramen since it's udon, the ramen egg was far better than what I've had at many ramen places.

Incredible! I'm thrilled that we now have a place like this in our neighborhood.

I really appreciate the food at this restaurant. While the portion of salmon was a bit smaller than I expected, it was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. However, I had a disappointing experience last month with the kale noodles; they tasted stale and had an unpleasant smell, causing me to discard them. Because of that experience, I was reluctant to order the kale again, as it left a negative impression on me.
