Congee Wong Restaurant - Markham

We live going to congee Wong for family dinner. When we feel lazy or the weather is bad,we just do take out. There are lots of choices to choose from. The famous seafood chowmein, their beef rice noodles and their mixed seafood with Chinese broccoli is amazing. My favourite is their variety of Congress. It always hits the spot when Im not feeling well or just too lazy to cook. Its a great place for family getogether and well as meeting with friends for lunch or dinner. It does get a little noisy with tge dishes clinging and people talking but its part of the experience. You are on a Chinese restaurant so what else would you expect. Their food is great and big proportions. If you dont finish uour food, you can ask for take out containers to take home for midnight snack.Would definitely recommend this place.One thing to add is, wish their service was a little nicer but....oh well...good food wins when you or your family is hungry.

The decor, atmosphere and service are all nothing to speak of. However, if you want good, consistent NA style Chinese food, you can't go wrong here. even my Hong Kong wife enjoys the food here and she is a tough sell. Portions are huge so no need to order a lot. Make sure you bring cash or debit card. They don't accept credit cards.

I only eat authentic Chinese food (my father was raised one the stuff), thus these are the only restaurants that I have experience with. Congee Wong is above average with some great prices and healthy food.Of the over 3 dozen (probably more) times I have eaten here, maybe twice, was there an issue with something? (Taro Nest was fried in really old oil, though I've gotten the nest in at least half of my visits and this was the first time I had an issue). The food is fresh, cooked well and there is a boatload of variety. The wait staff is inconsistent, but never have they been bad and never have we been treated differently, because we aren't Chinese.Great place for dining in or takeout and being next to T&T, you can even do some shopping!

Fast service and authentic chinese food. We went there for dinner and had a variety of items such as congee, shrimp fried rice and rice rolls with donut and beef. Very flavourful and service was great.

I go there often to have a real authentic Chinese food to meal. The service is fast food is fresh restaurant just came and we always come away very satisfied from the delicious food.
