The gnocchi is amazing and the Alf... read more Last night my husband had the blue gill special and it was really good. I had the Ribeye and some gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. The gnocchi is amazing and the Alfredo is top notch. I also love the blackened pork chops and the seasoned rice. Good stuff. And good prices.

It... read more $2.50 for a can of soda is ridiculous. I ordered the shrimp scampi dinner but received the shrimp scampi pasta. I decided to just keep it. I shouldn't have. It was so drenched in butter, that was all I could taste. My husband had the mahi mahi special which was actually good and our waitress was very nice and attentive. Did I mention that a can of soda was $2.50?!?

Markos is a small local restaurant and the owners wear many of the hats of operation including doing all of the cooking. Specials and ordering is done thoughtfully and their business and reputation is important for them and their people. We sincerely apologized to this man, and after he continued to be so very unkind my co-owner angered. In all of the twenty years of our ownership we have never had a confrontation such as this. We hope that anyone who may see the review will understand a bit better that we really have a great place to eat and is it really is unfair to listen to a review of someone who forbids eating because of being out of the one thing he wanted late in the evening. Our menu has so many items to choose from. As far as busy, we try to control people as to sitting on time, but once a table is late, it cannot be stopped as the evening progresses when a restaurant is totally booked. Reviews can be great but they do not always depict truth, and with this man, watching everyone else eat and choosing to consume alcohol instead of eating does not qualify a worthy review. So may I suggest if you are going out to eat, and if you are dead set on eating one thing, call ahead and have it saved for you. We would be happy to do that for anyone. This certainly could have saved everyone in the restaurant from listening to this ridicules confrontation; but of course most people would not act in such a manner.
