What User doesn't like about Siete Tacos Tequila:
I was open to giving this place a try, but I was surprised to find that they add an automatic 18% gratuity to the bill. Why is that necessary? Tips should be a reward for excellent service, something customers choose to give, not something that feels compulsory. View all feedback.
I had lunch with my husband and a friend at Marietta Square Market, where I tried Siete Tacos + Tequila. I ordered the Mamas Bowl and Beef Birria Tacos. I really enjoyed the Mamas Bowl; it was packed with flavor and the cheese was delicious. The Beef Birria was tasty as well, although the dipping broth was a bit runny—perhaps that's how it's meant to be. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely go back!
As part of our 2022 goals, we decided to explore restaurant recommendations from TikTok and Atlanta Eats. I must say, our adventure, which began at the end of 2021, ended on a high note at Siete Tacos! It did not disappoint! The service was excellent, the waitstaff were fantastic, and the food was incredible! The queso was the best I've had in quite some time—not watery like at many other Mexican restaurants. The drinks were spot-on as well! Overall, it was a fun atmosphere, making it a perfect choice for date night!
After taking our drink orders, she returned 15 minutes later with the same lackluster attitude. My sister, cousin, and I had ordered the prickly pear margarita, which had been popular on TikTok. When I inquired about the cactus that was supposed to be part of the drink, she told me I should read the menu better, as it was "only available in season." It’s her job to let us know these things! At one point, two of our party arrived and she abruptly interrupted us, saying she’d come back because we weren't ready to order. I was the one who had just ordered, and there were another five people waiting for their orders too. The food arrived 30 minutes later, but I have to say, it felt like someone dumped extra hot sauce on my ceviche tostadas. We had to ask for cutlery and water, which tasted like it came straight from the tap. We also had to ask for extra napkins, and our server never returned to check on us like the other waitstaff did. When my sister asked for some extra napkins, she sighed and rolled her eyes before bringing them a minute later. To top it all off, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. We usually tip around 25%, but her attitude was one of the worst I’ve ever encountered. I told my family that I bet she wouldn’t even say thank you for the tip. Seven Tacos Tequilas really needs to address this; someone should talk to her, or better yet, find a way to replace her. We’ll definitely come back, but not if she’s our server. The server’s name is Zeta Soto. Receipt attached.

Finally, a staff member brought us chips and salsa, but we waited another 10-15 minutes without anyone taking our drink orders. Frustrated, I approached the hostess again, and she seemed upset about the situation and assured me she would handle it. Eventually, our server came to the table, and we expressed our frustration, but all he could say was that he was sorry for the delay. He then took our drink and food orders. On a positive note, the food was quite good, and the ingredients seemed fresh. This place could be great if the service were even just average. My wife and I both have experience in the food industry, so we definitely appreciate the challenges that staff face, but this experience was quite disappointing. We noticed that the staff seemed overwhelmed and our server appeared to be preoccupied. We had hoped to enjoy their highly praised Cobb salad, but it seems like their service quality varies significantly. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning.
