the right business, couldn't believe I missed this place. I had the meatball hero. it saved my day! the brot is wonderful, the sauce is not overcooked and bitter as most places. very robust and simple at the same time. now, plan my next visit soon! View all feedback.
What Nakisha Lewis doesn't like about Hoboken Cafe On Whitlock:
I drove way too far only to be extremely disappointed. I had the WORST meatball sub ever. It was so awful. Very bland, the meaballs, sauce, the hard old bread and even mozzarella had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. So disappointed. At least they could butter the roll and toast it instead of just throwing it in your brick oven. View all feedback.
One of our most favorite places. Johnny and family are friendly and serve incredibly good food. Delicious salads, amazing sandwiches, fresh made everything. Don't delay and go there.
Absolutely fantastic. Couldn?t be happier with the experience, from the decor to the music it feels like the real deal (minus the rude New Yorkers pushing you around) the Meatball with in store made Mozzarella was completely on point. The cheesecake was more than enough to share and absolutely fantastic. Can?t say enough about just how good this place was and definitely will be back. Great local business to support no doubt I will be returning as soon as possible.
My husband and I ordered the Hoboken Hot Dog, Chicken Parmesan Sub with Mozzarella and a side of meatballs. Everything was excellent. The sauce and the meatballs reminded me of my Italian grandmothers. The whole cattle dog was so good with the paprika and onions, and the Italian bread is the real deal. It was nice to find a place that serves food we lived in New Jersey and New York.
Everything here is great: sandwiches, espresso, cannolis, cheesecakes, employees and owners are very friendly! The Jersey hot peppers and freshly made mozzarella are definitely worth adding to a sandwich. Even grew up in the south, I love the solid bread. My father, who grew up in New York and Jersey, loves the atmosphere. This will definitely be a regular lunch place for us!
Moved to Georgia a few years ago from Brooklyn and miss the food. Couldn’t find a good chicken parm anywhere. Found Hoboken cafe and it reminded me of NY. The chicken parm is fantastic. Sauce was tasty, the fresh mozz is homemade and the bread was the star. the cannolis are incredible. Only real complaint is the pricing. It’s high, even compared to NY today. $15 for a hero was a bit of sticker shock, but oh well. I’ll be back…..often.
