What Am Y doesn't like about Paul's Pot Pies:
There are a variety of options available, but they all come frozen. Just pop them in the oven at home for an hour. The first time I visited, I tried the turkey pie and liked it. Since then, I’ve sampled most of their pies, and I have to say that they all taste rather bland and lack seasoning. The jambalaya pie was the least enjoyable for me; I really don’t think Italian sausage belongs in jambalaya, and all I could t... View all feedback.
If you're looking for a pancake, I'd go here no matter how far you are. I'm not here. calender's old, dusty behind alone. the best pots I even ate are made with care. they can take them fresh or home and warm them up themselves. yes the Veggie option is delicious.
These pies were pretty delicious. I tried three different ones and they were all good. The seafood was a surprisingly new twist on pot pies, and the chicken curry was very flavorful and held together perfectly. My favorite one was barbeque, which unfortunately was a special so you cannot get it all the time. If it's there, I highly recommend it. My only problem is that the crust isn't too flavorful, but it's texture is amazing and the filling does the rest of the work anyways. I'll definitely pick up pies from here in the future.
There’s a reason why “hole in the wall” places like this exist. If you are going to do ONE thing, you better do it well. This spot does Pot Pies. That’s it! I finally got in here after passing by a few times when they were closed. Pro tip: you can order about an hour ahead and they’ll heat up a pie for you (large can feed 3 4 people, small 1 2) for lunch specifically. Since I didn’t know that walking in, I had to wait an hour. I ordered a small 6” Shephard’s Pie. Of course the first bite was pipping hot, but I could barely wait for this to cool! The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, but the crust is what makes this place 5 stars. After I finished up my “personal pie” I stopped back in and picked up a pie to bake at home. This time I went for the classic Chicken Pot Pie. Right now I am sitting at home on a cold December evening, enjoying what I can only describe as one of the best pot pies I may ever taste (Sorry grandma, may you rest in peace) Thank you chef and team over at Paul’s Pot Pies. Such an awesome simple concept. Well executed and deserving of any awards that waft your way.
Visited Paul’s Pot Pies for the first time today and had a great experience. The person assisting me was super helpful and gave me great tips for cooking the pie. He recommended cooking it frozen, placing the pie directly on the wire rack, putting an empty pan on the bottom of the oven (to catch any drippings) and watching for golden crust. I got the jambalaya pie and it was yummy! Lots of shrimp, sausage and chicken are packed into the pie. It’s definitely a hearty, filling meal. Can’t wait to try the other pies.
I drove by this place the other day and couldn’t wait to try! I love Chicken Pot Pie so finding this gem was exciting. I was pleasantly surprised when I looked at their menu and saw a wide array of different Pies. I ordered the Chicken Curry Pie to try something different than the traditional. The employee that took my order was very nice and helpful and explained how to cook the dish accordingly. After trying the chicken curry my only note would be that it was drier than what I’m used to with traditional pot pie. The flavor was amazing for sure, but consistency-wise I’m used to more of a runny inside. Otherwise will recommend and buy in the future.
