Description
The Chicken House is a friendly, clean spot known for warm staff, quick service and reliable fries, making it popular for family takeout. But experiences vary: portions have shrunk while prices rose, food quality can be inconsistent (cold chicken, poor sides), and buffet service and side substitutions are limited or removed. Patrons report occasional long waits, billing errors, and restricted drink choices. It’s convenient and welcoming for quick meals, but manage expectations about portion size, price and menu consistency.

The staff were extremely friendly and interacted warmly with the customers, always showing interest in our day. The food was excellent, and the fries were hot and delicious, although those who are monitoring their salt intake might find them slightly under-seasoned. The restaurant itself was clean and well-kept.
To make things even worse, we were overcharged and informed that the drink wasn't included, despite it being clearly listed in the menu image. After a long 10-hour workday, I was hoping to enjoy my meal, not sort out a $3 mistake. We waited in line for over 20 minutes, only to be served cold chicken, and the mashed potatoes had a chemical taste and were entirely inedible. The mac and cheese was sticky, and the biscuit was rock hard. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
I work at this restaurant, and I can confidently say that the staff is friendly and professional. The establishment is clean, and the work environment is fantastic.
The food is terrible, the buffet—which was their best feature—is no longer available, portion sizes have drastically decreased to child-sized servings, and prices have soared. Don’t expect to substitute sides when using coupons either; even if you dislike coleslaw, you’re stuck with it. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone anymore.
