The bushy slender erart in Graz-Mariatrost, offers a magnificent view of graz in the middle of the city (or better to say about the city) but also culinary one comes to its cost: the pork is a dense, as is the beetle salad, also the breaded and a chopped bread could convince completely. the ambiente is really incredibly beautiful. the most from old apple varieties, tasted wonderfully full and aromatic and also the soft sourl to finish was able to convince. so an absolute recommendation! still a small tipp: take a well filled wallet, because here the excellent quality has its quite lush price!
Out of sight and location of the local are great, the view over graz adorable.Leider is the chief in my perception cheeky and the prices on the other side.Example? apfelsaft mit leitungswasser - kreatiw hausquellwasser - 4 € (request by the chef: this is so in the map. is always the same because he would otherwise have to remember 3 prices.) there is a word for the price of 1/4 lead water around 1.50 € --- WUCHER!
The view over graz and the beautiful gast garden compensate only moderately for the small portions and high prices. 4 small piece of cheese around euro 8.50, each piece of bread is extra charged, 1/2 liter of apple juice with water of conduction costs 4 euro! we just felt ripped off. was the last visit there!
The food looks and is good, but extremely pricy compared to what a normal buschenschank offers. not much choice either, we were told what we could still have even though it was early afternoon and there were just 4 other guests...Wine was undrinkable, juice was tasteless and expensive. All for paying a bit more for something delicious and if the location is worth it, but this wasn't it. the place is indeed very pretty but the best view tables were closed off. the ladies in service/kitchen seemed lovely and very kind and friendly, but the owner who was sitting with acquaintances treated these poor women horribly, constantly complaining and belittling them, making the atmosphere tense and uncomfortable. a real shame, since the place looks lovely at first glance, but i for one don't want to assist verbal abuse while having dinner.
