Knights Inn - Margaret River

I went to this restaurant in the afternoon to watch AFL football, have a few drinks, and a meal. The drinks were expensive and the food, although advertised as Indian, seemed to be pre-packaged or looked like it, and was greasy. I won't be returning.

Expecting Aussie/British pub grub but majority of mains was Indian. Asked if curry came with rice considering it was priced at $21.90 but was told "No, only on curry nights", rice would be an extra cost. Wtf! What's the difference if it's curry night or not, curry is on the menu so I expect rice with it for the price they charge. What are you meant to eat the curry with? So ordered fish'n chips instead. Took 30mins for this to come out and another 15mins for the other 3 in the group to receive their steak sandwiches. Chips were cold and the cook got the order wrong. Poor waiter trying to keep up serving the meals and drinks, no other support staff.

Rubbish. Indian food. Rubbish service. Check your bill. Waited. Over n jour gor. Rubbish. Never. Go there

This place is actually part of the Margaret River Resort same reception, same staff, same bar etc. We wanted to stay in this part of the hotel but we were told it was full and they would put us in the units at the rear. It is part of a large partly privately owned group of units. So the room next to you may be owned by someone other than the resort and rented out privately through something like airbnb. There were approx. 10 people in the room next to ours. We were told the max in the room was 3 persons. They partied until 4-30am with extreme fowl language, and were outside our door and sitting on our car. We tried to get management to do something but they were of little use. We asked for a refund of one night out of our three night stay. We booked two suites for three nights. After 4 phone calls were not answered we finally got someone. We had tried to contact reception when we checked out but it was locked and the people inside reception refused to come out. This was the case the entire time we were there. They never answered the phone no matter which number you called. We even tried what they call the restaurant. We have not heard anything back despite sending an email through their website and speaking to two different staff members on the phone. Their excuse was that they didn't own the unit that had the party. They charged us for accommodation that was totally untenable as it was totally impossible to sleep and we could not contact them for any form of assistance.

How bout we just broil up lamb cubes, then once overcooked and hardened, add some watery resemblence of an indian curry. Even Kan Tong curry tastes better. I dont know where they got their chef from but seriously. How can u get a curry wrong? The only saving grace was the free pint of beer that came with..hmmmm.msybe i shoukd have drunk it all before i ate...lol
