The Serradura used to be creamy, rich and delectable. Today, I went only to take away 2 servings of serradura because it was a late night craving. Upon reaching home and digging in my spoon, I found that the serradura was not creamy but a rubbery hardened gelatinous white goop. I’m so disheartened that the place that served the best serradura has fallen from grace. Please Team Nostalgia, if you’re going to take feedback, bring back the old serradura texture and taste.
I liked the ambiance at the place, the live band, food was good but a very restrictive menu. Price reasonable
Nostalgia is a restaurant located in the village of Raia. An old Portuguese house converted into a restaurant serving a mouth watering variety of Goan-Portugese cusines. Sanna is a traditional dish served mostly in Goa and Karnataka regions. It's basically a savoury rice cake, mostly made from urad daal, rice fermentation by coconut milk and coconut water....and sometimes toddy.Best accompanied with a chicken curry.
This is one place that continues to nourish the palate for exceptional goan cusinue. The setting accompanied by live music, great service and even better food makes it a must visit. You pick any dish and you won't be disappointed.
Located on the ponda margao highway this pace is one of the finest goan, Portuguese restaurants anyone can find. although it has lost it's touch to the times when chef Fernando was alive I have to say they have always tried to improve themselves.its impossible to replicate what chef Fernando would cook and having tasted restaurants that have lost their main chef, nostalgia is the only place that I find which has moved forward and improved itself while the others have gone downhill. The pork amsol, bacalao are fantastic and having tasted this place before and seen this place improve over time I've got respect to the management for putting it all their efforts to get the place back on track. The ambience has got a lot of Goan caricature paintings around with a infusion of the Portuguese culture which is of the Portuguese rule in Goa. Hope to go back to this place and get the food taste back on from it's old times.#my_food_my_goa
