That was the surprise. we didn't know they had their own beer, which is actually very good. also the environment is super beautiful, mountain, small lake, plenty of water in juni when snow melts. stuff super friendly, but we did...not eat, so can recommend nothing.
I was for 1 night in the nativity, ate in the restaurant. nice and friendly staff, large selection of beer, design and bottle, healthy kitchen.
This is a magical place! the scenery is stunning. the atmosphere is relaxed and soothing. eating is from this world! that is not for the faint of the heart.
This lunch break was the second in our 9-day alta via 1 trek. Although they can drive a vehicle or drive an electric bike (as lavarella has e-bike charging stations) over a Scottish road, we came to foot after a long day harder. this gefugium was busy on the midday with tired and non-so-tired cyclists. we have decided to sit outside as it was such a beautiful day withte juli, and the server were friendly enough to put tables for the 7 of us together and redesign their umbrellas. her menu is similar to all other rifugios in the opposite, but if we got our food, I would say that they had some of the best. my dump-in-width was more than enough, the two dumplings were the size of softballs. they were spiced and sprinkled with speckle (the smoked prosciutto) and served with a large piece of bread. hubs tried a rich venison ragout generously cast over an amazing green tagliolini. of course I had to try this dessert in the form of the semi-freddo. a little dark chocolate were blown through the beautifully presented ice, and a delicious chocolate sauce was shaken on it. on the same plate was a sugar cookie, a delicately cut strawberry and a few fresh peach slices. hubs made the mistake of trying the imperial fool for dessert – it was great, but it was the size of a derée served with great bowl berry sauce and he could eat only a quarter of it regrettable. we were not here overnight, as we had stayed close to fanes, but it is immediately surrounded by high-end layers of limestone rocks, lush grass and even surface water in areas. wild flowers have grown everywhere. after leaving, we had to navigate to cows and deep holes in the limestone. interestingly, I saw growing in the moist, shaded holes water plants. one of my favorite foods on this trip!
When you climb/hike to the 2100 m high nature reserve plateau Fanes you have the choice of to Rifugio’s. In winter you can also use their snow cat service to get there and back or even use a sleigh to fasten your downhill hike. The...food and the scenery at the Lavarella Rifugio is the real reward if you have hiked the 2 and a half hours to get here. Stay here overnight if you want peace, tranquillity and a star-studded sky after a wonderful meal in a friendly family atmosphere.
