What gherardo91 doesn't like about Fodara Vedla:
I ordered a sausage with fries and they brought a sausage with polenta. But that 's ok, I can live with that. The polenta was not really good. This is not quite ok. Moreover, compared to other huts, this one is particularly pricey. I would strongly recommend its neighbor "Sennes Hütte“ 20 minutes away instead. View all feedback.

When in the area, this definitely is a must do.
What a wonderful feeling it was to walk into this rifugio after hiking in an afternoon rain. In spite of its remote setting, this rifugio has a lively bar with great prices for drinks. Dinner offered limited selections. But, everything tasted good. Room #7-8 was perfect for a family; 2 bedrooms with a total of 6 single beds sharing a bathroom; doors open onto a balcony.
Nestled in the lush valley between majestic mountain peaks lies nature’s paradise in the Dolomites! The rifugio Fodara is constructed so that it blends into the panorama as if part of the natural landscape. Each room is unique— simple, yet comfortable with picture windows or welcoming balconies. The atmosphere is authentic and delightful, perfect for quiet meditation and easy to make a friend. Enjoy a nice selection of beer, wine or spirits at the bar and don’t miss the local dishes, handmade pastas, breads and pastries, fresh meats, cheeses, soups and veges! Our favorites were polenta and porcini, venison and pumpkin ravioli! Lorena and Davide are super kind and hospitable, making you feel part of the family passion and endeavor. Take their recommendations for incredible hikes in every direction. Don’t miss this genuine fairytale when visiting the Dolomites. The only problem is.. you’ll never want to leave.
The food was absolutely great ! And the location is stunning. The service was also great we had a very good time, I highly recommend this place to have a well deserved break
My friends and I stayed here for our first night hiking the Alt Via 1 path through the Dolomites. The staff was warm and friendly and worked very hard to make sure everyone enjoyed their visit. Fodara’s location is a little off the Via 1 path, which makes you truly feel in the mountains. Gorgeous sunsets. Cute cows! We would definitely eat and stay here again.
