I have to say that it... read more Our group visited Monilli at four o’clock just for refreshment. We had the pilsener beer that gave the name for this kind Pilsner Urquell. I have to say that it is perfectly served in cooled and clean glass and in very good shape. It is nice to see that on Elba they can serve this beer as it should be.

However it is right next to the old castle which has a carpark if you dont feel like the walk. The restaurant is perched on the side of the hill and overlooks the chairlift and valley, a very calming view with a lovely gentle breeze. There is indoors as well. The food is simple but beautifully prepared dishes full of flavour. We had the house egg pasta with beef ragu. Perfect. Lyn had to try the chocolate torte OK I had some too. Delicious. The house wine and coffee were goo. Service was friendly and efficient. Lovely people.

This year the mun... read more Perfect for a regenerating break. Located near the Fortezza Pisana, it offers a great view over Monte Capanne and the valley, down to the sea. This year the municipality has granted the use of the large and beautiful terrace right 20 meters from the main location, I guess that at night it offers a great setting with the Fortezza Pisana on the back and the view of the bay in the front. The cuisine is genuine and tasty: I had panzanella and then also one schiaccina (probably the best I ever had in the island). Staff is very friendly...at the end a place to go if you are in Marciana

T... read more So much for a place with a great potential. We were thrilled to visit the restaurant and indeed the beginning was promising. Entries were excellent and tasty. The main problem was with the main courses. We were 5 and 2 of us got their plates about 30 minutes after we finished entries (what??? . After 20 minutes another 2 plates arrived. The last guy had to wait 20 more minutes but we already gave up and wanted to leave the place (wtf? how long does it take to cook a fish?!?! . The meat was not cooked properly and I couldn't even chew some of it. Seafood soup was nice but very small guys, this is not a main course! fishes was also small and unsatisfying. get a grip of yourselves.
