Reviews - Thai Market
Reviews summary
Nestled in Marblehead, this Thai restaurant stands out as a local favorite for its authentic flavors and accommodating staff. Diners rave about the distinct taste of dishes like pad Thai and basil chicken, although some express concerns regarding portion sizes and the quality of certain vegetables. Despite occasionally high prices and mixed experiences with service, the warm and friendly atmosphere keeps patrons returning. With gluten-free and vegan options available, it caters well to diverse dietary needs. However, recent feedback indicates some inconsistencies in service that could deter future visits.

Incredible Thai food can be found on the northern shore! Every time our family orders from here, we find ourselves wanting more and more! Our usual favorites include the drunken noodles with chicken and vegetables, chicken pad Thai, curry buffet, sticky rice, and peanut sauce. What 3Geoff K (1 2 years ago on Google dislikes about Thai Market:
This is the only genuine Thai restaurant for miles, and they seem to be aware of this (as noted in their comment below). Unfortunately, the prices are excessively high, and they serve only half the amount of rice compared to other Thai places in the area. The portion sizes are small, and many dishes tend to taste similar. They often use inferior vegetables, such as broccoli stalks and stems, which is unacceptable. Wh... View all feedback.

I literally called to ask if dining in was an option or if takeout was our only way to order. The gentleman said “takeout only, bye” and hung up. Ignored our next call to place an order. Horrible service and I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, stay far away and take your business elsewhere.
I absolutely enjoyed their food and service, and the location is conveniently close to my apartment. The staff is consistently friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to others.
My family and I have been regular customers, but we had a troubling experience tonight. The staff in the back were quite rude, and we were treated with a lack of respect. We didn't even receive our food. After this incident, we won't be coming back. It was completely unnecessary.

We ordered from this restaurant for the first time last week because our favorite, Sawasdee, doesn't deliver. We tried the green curry, pad Thai, and drunken chicken. One positive aspect was the authentic spiciness; the medium spice level was pleasantly spicy. However, I found the pad Thai to be quite disappointing—very bland. The green curry was decent, but I've definitely had better. The drunken chicken was the best of the three and was enjoyable. I might consider ordering again for convenience, but that’s likely the only reason I'd return.
I ordered takeout through Seamless, and the order was confirmed as being prepared. However, half an hour later, I received a call from Seamless informing me that my order would be refunded because the restaurant didn't have any of the items I requested. It was just pad thai and fried rice—nothing extravagant. Very disappointing.
This is the best basil chicken I've ever had! I can't decide what I love most—whether it's the layers of fresh flavors, the visible basil pieces, or the minced chicken and fresh vegetables. When combined with their excellent wok cooking technique, it makes this my favorite Thai restaurant overall. The summer rolls are another favorite of mine. The quality of their Thai food is consistently amazing, making it the best around. I'm also hooked on their noodles!

I was really disappointed with my experience. The food was bland and certainly not what I ordered. What I did receive had no flavor at all. Given all the positive reviews, I was expecting something much better. We ended up not even finishing half of our meal.
First, despite requesting no onions or peppers when placing my order, both dishes included them. Second, the chicken in the Drunken Noodles was smaller than popcorn chicken and overloaded with peppers and onions to compensate. Additionally, we were not allowed to dine in the restaurant at 7:40 PM because they said they were closing in five minutes. Overall, I found the staff to be unfriendly, and I left very disappointed.

While the food can occasionally be good, it is often just mediocre, and it's definitely not worth the high prices.
I'm posting this late because I'm gearing up to go back and realized I had never left a review. This place is incredible. I've eaten a lot of Thai food and this place is homemade goodness better than any other I've had. The owners are sweet and attentive, the service is quick, and again the food is amazing. It seems undiscovered, but deserves to be bustling.
Most incredible Thai food there is on the north shore! Every time our family orders here we always wish we got more! Our usual order consists of the drunken noodles (chicken and veg), chicken pad Thai, curry puff, sticky rice and peanut sauce. Get an extra peanut sauce if you order, you‘ll want more...it’s out of this world. They are also speedy and very accommodating with every order. The owner has personally said if he ran out of a dish that evening he would make it again personally the next night if we wanted. Each dish and order is made with care and passion, which is why we always return. Thank you to the Thai Market for providing amazing food for our family.

I'm posting this a bit late because I was considering going back and realized I hadn't left a review yet. This place is amazing. I've had my fair share of Thai food, and the homemade goodness here surpasses anything I've tried elsewhere. The owners are kind and attentive, the service is quick, and once again, the food is fantastic. It feels like a hidden gem, but it truly deserves to be more well-known.
This restaurant offers the best Thai food in the area. As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, I've never encountered any issues with their dishes. Their pad Thai is my absolute favorite!
We love this quirky little restaurant in marble head. The food is always good, with large portions and good prices. As a vegan, it is nice to have several options - they are very much on our diets. The decor is a little dated, and the service is very relaxed, but always warm and friendly. We make it a point to eat here whenever we are in the area.
This is a quiet restaurant of the main street. It has the best green curry I've had outside of Thailand. The vegetables very fresh and not overcooked. The sauce was thinner and not overly sweet. Perfect. I also tried the lemon grass pork which was good and tasty, but I'll be getting the curry next time. I will most certainly be back.
