When I found out that The Barnacle offers twin lobster tails for just $20, I was nearly in shock. Seriously, Marblehead, do you realize how fortunate you are? What a treat this is! This... View all feedback.
What 3Mike O (5 1 year ago on Google doesn't like about Barnacle Restaurant Incorporated:
If you're going to charge such a high price for a lobster roll, you should at least make sure it's fully prepared. Don’t try to convince me that this is how it's supposed to be served; it simply feels lazy. I also requested a bowl to mix my food in, but I never received one and wasn’t informed that it wouldn’t be provided. Overall, it was disappointing, and I probably won’t come back. The view was nice, but the food... View all feedback.
We were home for Thanksgiving and decided it had been too long since our last visit to the Barnacle, so my husband and I took the opportunity to enjoy a date night there. The food was outstanding—we started with calamari as an appetizer and then shared the special of the day, which was swordfish accompanied by sweet potato and onion rings, along with a grilled shrimp Caesar salad. We also had a few drinks, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Our waitress Nicole was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Tanya, the other waitress on duty, also checked in on us periodically while Nicole attended to other tables to ensure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this place, and we will definitely be back. I wish I had taken a better photo of our meal, but by the time I thought of it, we were already diving in!
The food here is excellent, with incredibly fresh seafood and generous portion sizes. The prices for the fresh seafood are surprisingly affordable, especially compared to market rates. Don't miss out on this gem! The restaurant has a cozy and intimate atmosphere, which is quite appealing. I can only imagine how beautiful the view of the water must be during the day.
This charming little harbor restaurant offers excellent seafood. The Lobster Bisque was the highlight of our trip, and the Lobster Roll lived up to our expectations. The place is quite small, featuring a limited bar and dining area, and there wasn't much of an atmosphere. While the service was satisfactory, we missed out on the outdoor seating due to rain. Overall, it's a nice spot for seafood, but don't expect much in terms of ambiance.
Great food. Super fresh seafood and very good, large serving sizes. Pricing for fresh seafood is very very reasonable and even on the cheap side for market rates. Seriously don't sleep on this place. The venue is small and intimate but in a good way. The view of the water during the day has to be fantastic.
I work for a ride share, dropped a passenger to the area, she suggested the restaurant for a good seafood dinner. I was very disappointed with my order of Haddock Augratin and mash potatoes. The mashed potatoes were cold, look like scraps thrown together. I would not order from this restaurant again.
