They have a varied menu some of which is typical Spanish food and some Colombian dishes.

Prices are very reasonable,... read more A fun and friendly venue where the owners, are always smiling and are friendly and are happy to try and accommodate people's needs. Prices are very reasonable, the clientele are a mixture of spanish, columbians and internationals. On the weekend there is often a band or music playing so people can dance along to salsa etc and have a fun and enjoyable night. Open into the early hours, especially on the weekends. Meals are served all day and late into the evening. Only a few kms to Marbella but great to be up in the mountain and experience local hospitality and fun. I've been going to this venue for years, but this is the best ownership I've experienced and it has become my second home when I'm in Spain as it is so friendly. Some of the staff speak English as well as Spanish. Worth paying a visit.

However, the mixed grill that we ordered was fantastic and really of excellent value. We will definitely be going back again.

What tranquillity and cool temperatures compared to the Costa del Sol in summer. Rocio the owner whisked us up a tasty meal in no time. She explained that the workmen from a nearby site enjoy a three course Menu del Dia meal for only €8.50. El Barranco could well be busy with a communion or wedding celebration but we'll certainly drive up again from Marbella to eat our in peace and quiet and be served attentively by the owner.
