I stumbled on the Bodega towards the end of my holiday. What a find, the hosts could not have been more pleasant and happy to chat. Both being very interesting. Happy to give a taster of the food unasked with a beer. Superb range of sherries, one in particular hit the mark, but that's my secret, try for yourselves. They've promised me to have a a few cushions for the chairs next time I visit!
Small really nice bar near the Alameda, the main plaza in Marbella, and a hop from the waterfront (better service and prices than at the promenade). The owners were supernice and spoke several languages, the other costumer seemed mostly locals having their midday beer or wine and a tapa before going home to have lunch. The place is small but with charm and the food was really interesting. There isn't a full kitchen so they serve tapas that don't require complicated cooking (great salmorejo),but their selection is great. It was neat to try the harder to find meats and cold cuts form the mountains. Definitely a revisit if I'm around there anytime soon.
We visited this bodega this month and were so impressed! The owners are lovely and make you feel very welcome in what seemed to be a very popular venue for the locals. The tapas served were delicious Chorizo Picante is a must and incredible value. We will definitely visit again!
We spent 3 days in Marbella and discovered this bodega on the first night so there was no way back, we came back there each day. The place is great for having a drink or even to eat something small, really nice and delicious. The owners were really nice, spoke english and also had English menu. The other costumers were mostly locals having their usual glass of beer or wine with tapa. Highly recommended to visit.
