What Anonym dislikes about Gunpowder:
Average food & ambiance. Highly priced. Not worth it. We ordered cocktails starters and main course. Cocktails were average, egg appam was fine, dosai and gunpowder were OK. Samber was bland, it was daal with currypatta. malabari parantha could have been better. And karala mutton was so hard to chew that we have leave the dish and whatever chewed had to be spitted out. A miracle in asagaon. eat on basic of andhra and kerala eat thema. every court was worth it. a lot of choice for drinks. a must visit

This charming restaurant is nestled in a lush green setting, featuring Mediterranean architecture and serving authentic Chettinad cuisine. The appam is delicious, the lemon rice is fantastic, and the chutneys are mouthwatering.

Wow, what a sound! incredible food, very tasty, very authentic, great atmosphere setting and excellent staff. we came here to lunch at 2.30 a.m. to a day, although the place is completely full, they found us a table. one of our favorite restaurants. our entire 2 weeks holiday in South India thanks! ps tipp, you need to book!

We ordered appam and some curry. curry was like that. then we ordered tamarind rice. this had some small dried pieces of tamarinds, which were not clearly dissolved and mixed with rice. so totally disappointed!

I went to the restaurant with great expectations after reading the reviews on line. However, my experience was just a little average. The food was OK, but nothing I can’t get in London and the service was haphazard in places. If you like South Indian...food, then you should try and visit Gunpowder. It may be our table just happen to visit on an off day.
