Please don't mix up the menu and prices from the old page like I did! The manager offered no credit when u could clearly see the menu and wrong pricesI ordered 3 turkey wing dinners 3 uptowns, and 1 cobbler and it was almost $100! Again the menu prices have changed. I was told it was a picture of the old menu taken by a customer. Wings were good sides could have been better. $25 for turkey wings with fat not alot of meat was a bit much for me. Greens taste like vinegar and idk what the cabbage was? I'd rather treat my self to something better worth my BUCKS!
Our waiter Tiffany was very kind, interactive and delivered a great experience for my first time here.. definitely coming back
My son and I (who are African-Americans) visited the restaurant today for the first time and I must say the food was really good. Definitelj some of the best soul food i have had in a long time since eating my mother's cooking who is no longer alive. However, I had the fried chicken (seasoned well and not greasy like most chicken places), yams, corn bread, Mac and cheese and an uptown drink (which wasn't cold). My son had ribs, corn bread, Mac and cheese and potatoe salad He enjoyed all of his food, except the potatoe salad which he gave to me. He also had a lemonade drink. The potatoe salad was bland and not cold enough. I couldn't immediately put my finger on it, but after giving it some thought, the potatoe salad was definitely missing relish and boiled eggs, what most African American families use in their potatoe salad; giving it that traditional taste.I can't remember the lady's name who brought our food upstairs, but she was fantastic. I believe she was the manager and her name starts with the letter L. After she bought our food upstairs, she sat down across from us for a quick minute and ask me what I thought of the food. I told her I was very pleased with the meal and shared my thoughts on the potatoe salad before I left.We would definitely visit the restaurant again. However I definitely recommend that they improve the flavor of the potatoe salad and oh, provide additional sizes for the drinks bc the uptown was in a small/ medium cup with no ice so it wasn't cold at all.
Cornbread offers a tantalizing array of soulful dishes, with standout options like fried chicken and turkey wings. While many patrons rave about the generous portions and welcoming staff, experiences can vary significantly. Some visitors enjoyed attentive service and appreciated the inviting atmosphere, highlighting their fondness for dishes like yams and catfish. However, others encountered issues ranging from food quality to customer service delays, suggesting room for improvement. Despite the inconsistencies, this restaurant remains a popular choice for comfort food, drawing diners back for its homestyle flavors and friendly vibe.

Was not so pleased with the fixings on the fish sandwich. Service: Take out Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The fried chicken and yams at this restaurant are some of the best in the area. The owner is fantastic, as well as her staff. I love this place. Service is top-notch, perfect for takeout dinners. The price per person is between $10 and $20. The food, service, and atmosphere all receive a perfect score of 5. Recommended dishes include the Uptown and the Fried chicken.
RJ and Jasmine were fantastic and provided excellent customer service. They were pleasant and did a great job. The restaurant is very kid-friendly and perfect for dinner. The price per person is between $10-20. I would recommend trying the fried dishes.
