Thai Express - Maple Grove
Thai Express
Description
Thai Express in Maple Grove offers a mix of experiences, with some dishes shining while others fall short. Diners rave about the fast service and cleanliness of the restaurant, along with satisfying items like spring rolls and fresh basil dishes. However, consistency is an issue; dishes like pad see ew and fried rice often receive critiques for being overly salty, soggy, or lacking the expected flavors of traditional Thai cuisine. While the restaurant may not cater to purists, its fusion approach and friendly atmosphere might still entice those seeking a quick and casual Thai meal.

I really enjoyed the Fried Vegetable Dumplings, as they were crispy, not greasy, and tasty. They didn't even need dipping sauce. The Panang Curry was also excellent, with the coconut curry sauce perfectly complementing the chicken, shrimp, and vegetables. I believe I have found my new favorite Thai restaurant. Thank you.
The Mini Thai Soup came I'm a bowl with the broth already. Anyone who eats rice noodles are Asian knows that doing this makes the noodles super soggy and too soft because it soaks up the broth. I also ordered chicken Red Curry with Chinese broccoli which is an extra $2. They instead gave me regular broccoli which they charge like 75 cents extra instead of 2. the flavor is good though so I guess that's a win? I would never order again from this place.
The fried rice had a bitter taste, as if it was cooked in a burnt pan, and the pad Thai noodles were soggy and overcooked. The orange chicken had a strong and overly sweet flavor, reminiscent of orange marmalade.
The shrimp in the pad Thai was overcooked and rubbery, and the noodles were also overcooked.
All right. the personal is friendly. eating is pretty good. I didn't feel like I got good value for money because the portion size for meat and veg was quite small; most of the take-off box was filled with rice. something was wrong with the soda machine, because the root beer I got was not very good.
