Matilde - MANTOVA

Very nice bar in the center of Mantova, under the arcades of one of the most beautiful ancient houses near Basilica St Andrea: very kind staff, good selection of drinks, good 'clientèle ', warmly recommended.

Bar Matilde is a tiny coffeshop which has the best balcony of the whole Piazza delle Erbe. It looks over the entire square and offers exceptional views of Sant’Andrea. When you see it’s free, try to go up to discover how nice it is. Their coffee is very nice too, as well as their brioches or other snacks. The staff is always very kind to us, which makes us come here often.

Piccolo bar, in una piazza davvero suggestiva di Mantova, salendo in bagno ho scoperto anche una saletta interna per cui ottimo in inverno. D'estate assolutamente bello stare fuori! Ringrazio la ragazza bionda che giovedì mattina (giorno di mercato) era la bancone super trafelata da sola ma comunque super gentile e con il sorriso. Per me vali 11.... Buon lavoro e se ripasso la colazione sarà di nuovo lì grazie

Piccolo bar con una bella vista sulla splendida piazza delle Erbe. Posto ideale di prima mattina per iniziare la visita di questa meravigliosa città sorseggiando un buon caffè e una buona brioche. In questo locale la gentilezza è di casa.

Bar Matilde is a wonderful spot for having an afternoon drink. Right on the piazza, it's great for people watching. Gracious host, who specialises in proseccos, is friendly and welcoming remembers returning tourist and is not shy to clean up your broken glass or spilled chips.
