Really lovely food fish amazing as always I miss the chippy in town very much so there 's NO WHERE To GO AND HAVE A GOOD MEAL ANY MORE . I love th3 chippy on chesterfield road and I eat from there a lot thank you Nick
Nicks is always busy, that says it all, people come from across town to buy from here. Friendly staff, great fish and chips, lovely crisp batter, excellent mushy peas.
This review is for the shop on West Gate. As are my previous reviews. Both shops are run by the same guy. Have had breakfasts at most of the cafes, chip shops and department stores in the town centre area. Nicks is by far the best, comparing quality, quantity, price, sevice and ambience. Try it out, see what you think.
I'm sorry to say there hasn't been a deterioration in the quality of fish and chips. The size of the smaller portions and have the fish not always fresh. It changes chippies!
Conveniently located just down the road from where I work, they cook Spam Fritters to order. Very well priced and happy staff.
