A limited menu was fine by us but whe... read more On Sunday last I met my 3 sisters for a catch up and meal. While we enjoyed the catch up. The meal was very disappointing. A limited menu was fine by us but when 2 items out of 7 missing it left the selection a little limited but we all found something once the waitress remembered there was a special.on near end of the order. My 2 sisters opted for seabass which sounded delicious with crushed med mash and cherry tomatoes but somewhere between the kitchen and table this appetising plate turned out to be mash carrots and what can only be described as a very basic carvery style poorly presented dish. When we enquired from the girl why the dish was so different to what was described she didn 't seem to know what to do so we asked her for the menu and pointed out the differences. Upon returning she said the chef said he ran out of those potatoes we asked for chips and when meal was nearly done two large bowls arrived "on the hoyse 'im afraid it was a little too late as they were unwanted and little compensation for a very disappointing meal. With cream instead of ice cream on our dessert order and bakewell tart which was described as peach and Berry kind of cake thing dessert did not improve things. Others in party had house burger and chicken burger these were OK nothing special. All in all very disappointing meal also wondering why the indoor seating is not open as it was a cool evening but we did have a heater.

These are under a roof,... read more This was the only choice for coffee this morning in Manorhamilton. It's beside the restaurant, and shares the excellent outdoor tables. These are under a roof, while still being airy and safe feeling it's been done properly. I had a coffee and pastry. The latter was huge. I'd have liked the coffee to be punchier, though. Service was very good, and the toilet excellent.

After... read more Dined here earlier this month, could not recommend it highly enough. Servings were big , food was great quality and the setting and service was excellent. After a starter each and main course we had no room for dessert. The chicken fillet burger with a Cajun like buttermilk coating was superb. My wife had the Hake which was excellent too. Good selection of wine. The staff could not be more helpful. Will definitely visit again soon.
