We were the first Sunday, and ce... read more So slowly a light continues, why not only visitors to the art museum every day, but also pedestrians especially visit the LUXX. We were the first Sunday, and certainly not the last time, guest at LUXX!! A few years ago I noticed the urban and modern bistro with the big black staircase for the first time. This day there was a banana curry tart with warm apricots. If I tried, it would be so nice to remember the part. That day we were with my mother-in-law in Spe, Schwager, Essen. But we still had a little appetite and it also took us to blame that it was in the other pubs and cafes around the water tower, for the first time in LUXX. Please do not confuse with the Ludwigshafener XXX country house, here is(s)t man(s) with the double X. The reception was great, we were allowed to choose a table on the ground floor. We took a high table, the outer walls all made of glass, we could look wonderfully at the drive of the carnival fair around the water tower. In addition to a lunch card, there is also a card that is valid for the whole day. There were different appetizers, smaller main courses as well as desserts, but certainly no 08/15 dishes. From the starter selection, the pumpkin, mussels, Lardo and Ingwerbutter as well as Kaisergranat, Ponzu and Zitronenmayo remained in my memory. The filled pearl blue spots with caramelized tips and two apples would have been found. But it was only after a little, we ordered drinks, to my 0.4 Wrought wheat, then the cheese of the day tied with crows and olives (12.50 Euro) my better half from the dessert card self-made coconut cream, coconut and tangenins (11 Euro). At first the small cheese plate: small cheese plate tasted excellent to me, especially the broken crackerged tones reminded me of the last Lake Garda vacation where we had similar salted biscuits with Parmesan. The Desserplatte: was not only visually a small masterpiece. We never had the tangenins so good. Next time we will certainly decide for 3 4 courses per head, the selection is too tempting!!
