Probably the best Sashimi in Sydney. love it. BYO as well but does have Japanese beer. no the cheapest, but one of the best. Love it!

I absolutely love Izumi! I've been visiting for over 10 years, and it's one of my favorite restaurants in Manly. The Japanese food is delicious, and the miso eggplant is truly the best I've ever had. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends and family.
...we are all enthusiasts of Japanese cuisine and have dreams of moving there. The gyoza and udon were incredibly tempting! We simply had to stop in. By this point, we had lost another friend who, after nearly 11 hours of continuous eating and drinking, decided she needed to call it a night. So, it was just the two of us left.
Izumi is a nice treat off the beat in Manly. Not pretentious or try hard, Izumi offers straight forward authentic Japonese cusine at a reasonable price. Its very refreshing to eat Japonese that isnt trying to appeal to the Australian pallet but rather staying in tradition by allowing the nuances and delicate layering of Japonese dishes to remain present. The partions are large and very filling. Overall really good value in a simple, casual dinning environment.
