The wings were amazing and satisfyingly large. I tried the spicy orange flavor and it definitely packed a punch. I would give it an 8 out of 10 on the spice scale. I also ordered fries, which were delicious. If you're ever in Manistique, Michigan, be sure to stop by Wheaty's.

We were pleasantly surprised and can now say it's our favorite restaurant in Manistique. The wings were outstanding, incredibly large and packed with flavor. The price was just right at $15 for 7 generously sauced wings (with the option to add fries for $2). We also enjoyed the sirloin nachos, which were delicious and a good deal at $12 for a generous portion.

I ordered the wings and my wife had... read more My husband and I visited this restaurant on August 14th around 5pm. The bartender, Jessica, was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the wings and my wife had a burger and fries. The food was cooked right beside us and was delicious, with the burger and wings being above average. The wings were a good size and came with tasty sauces. When we arrived, there were about 5-6 people at the bar and a few tables were full. However, the place quickly started filling up around 5:30-6pm. The beer was cold and reasonably priced at $3.50. I enjoyed the local bar atmosphere with simple touches. I must also mention the young lady who was in charge of the grill and deep fryer - she did an excellent job keeping up with the crowd as it went from 10 mostly drinking customers to about 25 who were also ordering food. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this place to others looking for delicious burgers and wings, cold beer, and friendly hosts.

Before bringing my mom and mother... read more This was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I chose it based on the excellent online reviews of the food and service. Before bringing my mom and mother-in-law with us, my sister took a look inside to make sure it was suitable for "mature folks" - and she confirmed that the reviews were right! When we entered, Trish greeted us and allowed us to choose where to sit. She was super friendly and attentive when taking our order, and I have to say, "Compliments to the Chef!" All four of our meals and the Onion Ring Appetizer were delicious, with not a single complaint. Although it was a bar, the food could easily be served in a high-quality restaurant. We ordered the burger with everything, Shrimp Po-Boy Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich, and Fish n Chips. The dishes were not overly seasoned, allowing us to add our own level of seasoning, and they were all prepared exactly as we requested. Trish also recommended a delicious local Lite Beer for us to enjoy. The burger was one of the best I've ever had! Thank you to the staff for a fantastic meal. I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often!
