Celebrated all our birthdays with a wonderful dinner. Never thought that Filipino food could be intellectualized and brought to gourmet standards. Nestled in the heart of Malate, Manila, it is a perfect place for a surprisingly tasty Filipino Fusion spread. Local and simple ingredients such as “sili” (hot pepper leaves, “kamote” (sweet potato and more were increased to fine gastronomic quality. I was skeptical to spend so much for Filipino farewell. But I left a believer and proud of the creative cook that made this menu. (Included in our menu were nilutics, pumpkin soup cooked with coconut milk and sprinkled with roasted palpa; Dumpling, prawn mushroom wrapped in homemade crystal hulls served with soy ginger dip.
