I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Coquille and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience that left me wanting more. From the moment I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming ambiance that set the stage for an unforgettable evening. For my meal, I chose the roast organic half chicken with vegetables, paired with a delicious chocolate mousse and a refreshing mocktail. The dishes were all masterpieces in their own right, showcasing the talent and creativity of the chefs at La Coquille. The half chicken was tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor, cooked to perfection with crispy skin that added a wonderful texture. The vegetables were expertly seasoned and cooked to retain their freshness, creating a harmonious combination of flavors on the plate. The chocolate mousse was a dream for dessert lovers, velvety smooth with a rich chocolate flavor that was divine. The mocktail I chose was a refreshing blend of flavors that perfectly complemented my meal, expertly crafted by mixologist Amanda. In addition to the exceptional food, the service at La Coquille was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing a top-notch dining experience. They made me feel like a valued guest throughout the evening. Overall, my dining experience at La Coquille was stellar. My husband and I had a fantastic dinner at La Coquille. The Escargots Bourguignonne were so delicious that we felt like we were dining in France. The baguette was particularly tasty when dipped in the sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed the warm octopus salad, which was packed with flavor and a generous portion of octopus. The Filet of sole en Croute was a classic dish with a touch of beurre blanc, while the Veal Escalopes were perfectly cooked and served with pomme purée and chestnuts. The dessert cart had many tempting options, but we ended up choosing the Napoleon. The service was exceptional, and we were impressed by the care shown by the staff, as shown when they ran out to the parking lot to return our forgotten bag. We had an amazing experience and can't wait to go back and try more dishes. As restaurant owners in NYC for over 30 years and with my husband being a culinary trained chef, we are not easily impressed, but we thoroughly enjoyed the food at La Coquille. Overall, the experience was top-notch, and we highly recommend trying dishes such as the Grilled Octopus, Frenched Colorado Rack of Lamb, and Baked Escargot. We visited this restaurant more than a year ago and the food was amazing, but unfortunately our experience tonight was quite disappointing. Both my steak and frites and my husband's duck were dry and unappetizing. The Au Poivre sauce was bland and the duck leg was overcooked. It seemed like the food had been sitting out for a while. While the portions were generous, we would have preferred better quality over quantity. Overall, we were not satisfied with our meal and will not be returning. The service was decent, but the atmosphere was just average. The price per person was between $50-$100 for dinner. Food quality received a 2, service a 4, and atmosphere a 3.
Beautiful experience! Came for my husband's birthday and they even brought his dessert out with a candle and sang for him! It was such a sweet touch. The food was delicious the waiter was so nice! Truly a warm atmosphere. I have to tell you that they had a dessert that was homemade pistachio ice cream cake WOW! I wish I could have it every night. We will definitely be back Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: French Onion Soup, Roast Organic Half Chicken
