Gringas - Mangawhai

Great place with great prices! Plenty of outdoor seating or indoor! Really great drinks, we had the frozen cocktails. Great tasting and decent portion sizes. Should definately look to book if coming in on a busy night (we went on a Saturday and it was quite full! Only let down was one waitress we had who had no idea in terms of what she was serving and guessed what each plate was which was quite unprofessional and I have never seen before. Either than that it was great!

Gringas Great family and friends eatery in Mangawhai. Mexican themed menu and drinks. Inside and covered outdoor dining. Parking all around can be tricky in busy times). Bookings advised in peak periods. Well presented food, generous portions. Good ambience. Fair pricing. Pleasant, attentive team. A worthwhile destination in popular Mangawhai central.

I went here two years ago when it was a food truck and loved it! We were in Mangawhai this weekend and couldn’t not go. So cool to see there is now a restaurant! It was bustling’! Margs were DELISH!!! And tacos phenomenal! I wanted to get some takeaway for my drive home but they are closed Mondays. Definately be back!

Best Mexican food I have ever had, never been to Mexico tho but my partner and I are huge fan of tacos and burritos and we have tried basiclly every Mexican restaurant in Auckland and none of them are better than this place. Food flavor is amazing, portion is very decent and the warm and friendly service from their staff just made everything even better. Loved the churro espresso martini and toasted coconut magarita We are planning to visit mangawhai for a week and thank you Gringas we really had a good start of our holiday!

It was my first time in Mangawhai, hence my first time to eat here at Gringas. This was highly recommended by a local and was super glad we tried ‘em out. This is the best Mexican place I’ve eaten at in NZ, I daresay. We ordered the Quesadilla, TacoTaco Pork tacos and they were all really good
