The Duke's Roadhouse - Mangaweka

A true foodie paradise! This place is absolutely fantastic. The home-baked dishes are simply delicious! Be sure to try the heavenly toasted cheese scone slathered in butter or the lamb and kumara pie. The ambiance is enchanting, adorned with lovely details like fresh flowers and a shelf filled with homemade preserves. There's also a wonderful kids' corner. Huge thanks to Laura and her team!

This restaurant is a popular choice for brunch, lunch, or a quick snack. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the cheese scones looked delicious as well! There’s also a great selection of food available in their cabinet. They have some sheltered outdoor seating at the back and the bathrooms are clean. Highly recommended!

Fantastic Café: Offers EV charging, delicious food with a wide variety of options including meat and vegan dishes. They also serve asparagus and milk. Enjoy outdoor seating with a dog bowl available! Convenient public restrooms are located next door.

This cozy café features a crackling fire during the winter months, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their vegan cake and coffee are absolutely delicious. They also make and sell their own aioli and preserves, and they have at least one vegan option available on the menu. If you don’t see something that suits your needs, just ask! Wow, just wow I wish I had better words to describe the place it's definitely somewhere I'll be promoting so glad we stopped I was so impressed with how well they seemed to understand celiac diet and how careful they were. From when we walked in the service was very friendly definitely going to make time to stop again!
