Chicken N Fish - Mandurah

Fish n chips are a national comfort food and every man and his dog at any stage had fish n chips in their lives so there are many fish n chip identifiers outside and competition is very high. I have eaten a few times here, hoping that each time would be better than the last. I'm coming a bit earlier, before the lunches arrive to make sure I get the freshest possible cook and not the display unit. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Service: the service was not shocking, infact, they were pleasant and engaged, but when I asked to freshly cook a piece of fish, it was rejected and I got a peice from the display...ok. The food: I was sure that the fish was freshly cooked in the shed, but it was undercooked, the fish had not properly digested and I could taste it over the fish... the chips were not hot, but nice, but the salad was fresh and very delicious. The severity was thicker than I liked, but that's just personal preference. The shop display: The salad bar looked amazing, it was full and colorful and very appetizing, but the hot ad looked naked, colorless and it looked old. The cost: I don't think what I got was worth my money, for me, if you pay a premium price, you should get at least one premium product and that wasn't the case. Summary: People will wait as long as it takes to get good fish n chips. Fish-N-chips have never been a fast food... except for lunch bars, but you don't pay premium prices. It is a shame that people go on there and eat to finish their meals that were buried there was something better somewhere else. My recommendation... don't take the family and stay at your local or favorite n-chip shop. If you eat on the go, this could be a place for you....especially if you are hungry for fish N chips. 2 star rating because I hope they make changes

Total waste of money! Reviewer who said excellent food must be the owner! Cold chips, tasteless gravy and overpriced! No freshly cooked food so goodness knows how long it lies there and is it even safe when the temperature is so cold? I would say the staff are rude but in fairness I think they are just too young and undertrained with no support. Man claiming to be the boss on the other hand was extremely rude to myself and the poor girls who work there. AVOID!!!!

Travelled all the way from Kalgoorlie decided to drive a hour from Bunbury to the Mandurah Forum today on WA DAY! ordered fish and chips then partner ordered a fish burger she then followed with sorry we have no rolls left i said what about the two in the bain Marie can he have one of those she said sorry they have been on display for A FEW DAYS and we have none left out back DISGUSTING WHO EVEN SAYS THAT. The rolls are displayed beside other food they sell to us. Food safety and Regulations obviosly not followed their. SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN YUCK

Fish tasted like it had come out of a sewer wouldn't feed it to my cat DISGUSTING!!
