Service was very poor unfortunately, pub was quiet for a Sunday afternoon but despite this service wasnt great at all. No menus at table, which despite waiting five minutes no one bothered to pro actively bring over...bill had to be asked for twice and even then it was a long wait to receive it, also felt like we were bothering the waitress when needing to order or ask for something. Burgers were very nice and presentation lovely. Being a resident of the area I won't be returning in a hurry and it's a shame because it's very convenient and has bags of potential. Summary overpriced for sub standard service and clearly under staffed as soon as things started to get a little busier.

If I knew they wouldn't offer table service, I would never have booked. menu very limited and only good things there were not available. very disappointed. not likely to return.

I went with my friend who had only eaten there before. I booked a table that thought it was up in the new bistro. Apparently this is only open on Friday and Saturday night and it was a Thursday night when we left. the personal apologised and showed us a table below. the food was nice and the pub has a good atmosphere. the part is that some of the furniture look a little tired, tables are a bit tricky when they eat. we had a really nice evening.

The service is professional and friendly. the employees are very helpful and are looking forward to menu options. eating is excellent, a lot of choice and freshly prepared. the black pudding star was beautiful, two of our party had the terrain and both enjoyed it very much. three we have pizzas that were the best I ever tasted. we have been before and have always enjoyed dishes from the a la carte menu. I strongly recommend this place.
