Impossible - Manchester
Impossible
Description
Impossible Bar promises a vibrant atmosphere with its charming interior and inviting outdoor space, perfect for social gatherings. While the cocktail selection and some friendly staff receive commendations, numerous patrons express frustrations with slow service, cold dishes, and an unimpressive Bottomless Brunch menu. Notably, complaints about a hostile male staff member detract from the overall experience, despite some individual commendations for server attentiveness. While the ambiance is enjoyable and the bar staff knowledgeable, the inconsistent food quality and service issues raise concerns, prompting some diners to reconsider choosing this venue for special occasions.

The outdoor area is lovely, offering a bit of open space, and there’s a nearby Greek stall where you can purchase food. The music fits the ambiance perfectly. While the interior seating is somewhat limited, the round cabin areas are charming and comfortable. Drink prices are on the higher side, but that’s to be expected. The bar staff appeared friendly and knowledgeable.
I visited the restaurant for a cocktail and was pleasantly surprised when the friendly waitress informed me about their 2-for-1 offer. I ended up staying longer than I originally planned because of this. The outdoor seating area was lovely, making it the perfect spot for people-watching. Overall, I had a very enjoyable hour there!
The food was great! I had the Impossible Burger. The drink service was a bit slow, to be honest, but Sophie, one of the servers, really saved the day by ensuring we had our drinks. Thank you, Sophie!
We attended the Bottomless Brunch, and unfortunately, the food didn’t meet our expectations. I ordered a chicken burger with fries, but there was only about a quarter of a chicken breast in the burger, and no salt, pepper, or condiments were provided. On the bright side, the drinks kept coming for the first hour as promised, and we had no issues there. The event itself was enjoyable, but it lasted only two hours with a long break in between, which felt a bit excessive for someone who had been drinking. Still, we had a lot of fun! I was surprised to find that the brunch was held in the basement, which gave it a late-night vibe rather than the relaxed atmosphere one might expect for an 11 am brunch. Overall, it was a decent experience, deserving of about four stars, and I must say that everyone we encountered, both patrons and staff, were very friendly.
I really like the Impossible Bar, but I was about to reserve a table for my birthday celebration there. However, I've decided not to go through with it after hearing multiple comments about the Asian security guy. I don't want him to ruin my night or my friends' night for what seems like no reason other than being a very creepy individual, according to others.
