The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly, with the manager even remembering us from our visit six months ago. They serve large portions of traditional South African food that is full of flavor and calories. This is not the place for tiny plates of steamed vegetables; the food here is hearty and reminiscent of what the Springbok Rugby Team would eat. This restaurant is a must-visit for a relaxing and delicious evening. There are no fancy decorations, just fantastic aromas and unforgettable cocktails.
That was great. really happy with the experience! only to note that the menus have been updated (see photos) with price changes and their website still shows the old information.
I'm here a couple times and it's mine and my partner happy place! the personal is always incredible, eating is to die and the drinks are dangerous delicious! I live south and we always come here when I visit! can't wait to get up here so we can get a constant supply of their amazing biltongs!
After we have tried various places to eat on a bank holiday to discover it completely booked or rude fellow workers, we have luck with our 5th attempt. it was so refreshing to be welcomed and informed, there were food available. our friends were vegan and this place had a lot of choice surprising for them! we had happy to arrive during the happy hour 2 for 1 cocktails. I chose a distinctive mojito that was made beautiful. for beginners I really wanted to taste chicken wings or the mac n cheese, but I worship bulton. When that came, it was just like the one my friend had brought back from Malawi. it was convenient to use a paper bag that offers a medium for snacks later and kitty tasty. for the net order all hate one? a thick broth plate, filled with various meats such as lamb or pebbles. I had a bobadi dish that were baked with mint. all seasoned were perfect and generous. overall really good service and a beautiful variety especially for vegan vegan vegans.
Food was delish. tested the macaroni starter and lamb curry pornstar. really good food, will be back to visit. the beverage menu is good and cheap. 2for1 cocktail happy hour. think it works over five. give the amarula an attempt is like a chocolate baileys. the staff was great. really chilled, relaxed mood. parking is after 8 o'clock directly there on the oldham street (on individual yellow lines,) I think.
