small cozy café/restaurant, which is larger than it looks from outside, it offers them an excellent breakfast of different size depending on the appetit. the personal is always very friendly. there is a packed room upstairs that can search customers who support a local charity. View all feedback.
What Isabella Chapman doesn't like about Yorkshire Tea Rooms:
Nice location and setting but food was awful. Toasties were not properly cooked with barely any filling, tasted like only bread. And was served a stale scone so hard it couldn't be cut. View all feedback.

The closest parking is uphill or at Morrison's supermarket, which may not be convenient for those with limited mobility. The tea was served very hot in traditional china cups, with a pot easily serving two people. However, the pre-cut and cling-film wrapped cakes were not very appealing. I opted for the delicious homemade treacle pudding with custard, while my partner enjoyed the jam roly poly. It's a shame that the cakes were not displayed on a counter as expected in a tea shop. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant is small, so it may get crowded during peak times.
We have visited this restaurant twice recently because it is close to our home and they warmly welcome our new puppy. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. We definitely plan on returning.
We stopped by for lunch at this restaurant yesterday on our way back to Sheffield. We were both pleased with our meals - roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast and new potatoes, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower cheese, all of which were fresh and nicely presented. The gravy was very tasty as well, all for only £7.50! My husband indulged in the jam Roly Poly and custard, while I was too full to join in. The waitress kindly brought us two spoons, much to my husband's dismay. It was all delicious. We noticed other customers enjoying the full English breakfast, which also looked very appetizing. This place was a real find and we will definitely be coming back. Thank you to the chef and waitress for a great meal.
Called in en route to Filey for breakfast (more like brunch by the time we arrived). This is a quirky little cafe with interesting interior decoration. The service was very good, though it wasn't busy when we went, and the breakfast was reasonably priced and very tasty. My only quibble is that there is little flexibility with the English breakfast: I dislike baked beans but was not offered an alternative, e.g. an extra egg. In all other respects it was a very enjoyable experience and I will definitely call again if in that neck of the woods.
