Description

Recent reviews of Cape Greko show a mix of experiences from diners. Some were disappointed with the lack of Covid pass checks and the quality of the food, while others raved about the friendly service and delicious dishes. Despite some complaints about the noise level and overly salty food, others found the restaurant to be a great value with well-crafted selections. Overall, Cape Greko seems to have its highs and lows, but could be worth a visit for those looking for a casual dining experience.

No allergen menu which is a legal requirement so I was nervous with my food choices and trusting the waitresses knowledge.

We were disappointed with this restaurant that had been recommended to us by a friend. We were placed along the wall in a length of tables that were so close to each other we could hear everything our 'neighbour 's ' were saying! There certainly was nothing intimate about this restaurant, which greatly lacked ambiance. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly, however her manager was unfriendly. The food was disappointing, very plain with little flair or imagination. We ordered two glasses of Italian red wine and it was really good. We 've eaten in Greek restaurants in Canada and Bath, UK and we loved them for their gorgeous food which was really flavorsome but sorry to say Cape Greko disappointed.

The food at this restaurant was excellent. We loved our appetizers and main dishes, as well as the delicious bottle of wine we had. However, the service was lacking. It seemed that the two young staff members working that night had not been properly trained. There was no manager present, and at times the staff appeared distracted by their phones instead of attending to customers. In my opinion, the owner should invest more in staff training to improve the overall quality of service.

We were refused service, as the owner decided that the amount of food we had ordered (sharing platter for 2 plus 2 additional appetizers and a caraffe of red wine) wasn't enough. We had already been served the wine before being informed that we would be refused service unless ordering more food. This was a disgraceful experience I've never experienced elsewhere, and I wouldn't recommend anyone going here.
