I love Shabu Shabu so my husband usually pampers me when I have the urge. At first we ignore Thousand Cranes because we think it is expensive as we are more used to having Shabu Shabu buffet style than a la carte.
So we tried Thousand Crane once in Greenbelt and kept coming back here.
Ordering a single platter is supposed to be good for one person, but while my husband and I have big appetites, one order is more... View all feedback.
What Maiya Rutherford doesn't like about Thousand Cranes Shabu Shabu:
Not the best shabu-shabu in town but still an alternative for group meals. Management should do something about mosquitos. As for the food, nothing special and the seafood portions were very small. View all feedback.
I love shabu shabu so hubby usually indulges me when I have the craving. At first, we ignore Thousand Cranes because we have this notion that it's expensive since we are more used to dining in buffet style shabu shabu rather than ala carte ones. So we tried Thousand Crane in Greenbelt once and we have been coming back here again and again. An order of a single platter is supposed to be good for one person but despite hubby and me having a big appetite, an order is already more than enough for us. Our fave is their all seafood platter. The platter includes prawns, sea cucumbers, squid/fish balls, oysters, fish fillet, 2 types of noodles and veggies. We also usually order their sashimi (tuna for me and salmon for hubby). Each order has 8 slices of sashimi.
This is the restaurant where we first tried shabu-shabu. The service was great. However, at first we were assigned at a table wherein there was a leak from the air conditioning equipment they had. Their menu has a variety and great for group meals and dining with your family and friends.

This is my most beloved shabu-shabu restaurant. My boyfriend loves soup and shabu shabu so we are frequent customer here. The ambiance is great. You've got this oriental feels once you enter; the servers are courteous though most of the time, they are nowhere to be found when you ask for their help after you order.. The food variety caters to japanese cuisine and shabu shabu. You can also grill if you want and they have a variety of seafood choices. Though the food is great, its kinda expensive so be ready to slash some cash. Thumbs up for great food and good expeience!
I don't know what so different about this place compared to healthy shabu shabu in Rockwell. It's all same to me and everything here is very simple and dull. Also the portion is a joke, how can you get full with 6-8 thin slices of beef. This place has to give out more meat and less vegetables that ain't fresh.
