Oh and Thai Iced Te... read more Had dinner with my family here last night. We had the Laksa, Lamb Massaman Curry, Phad Thai, Fish in Mango Sauce, Ninak Rice and Plain Rice. Oh and Thai Iced Tea and Tiger beer! Servings were surprisingly generous (they're usually small in local Thai/Malaysian/Indonesian restaurants . We were surprised when the food arrived, we realized we ordered too much. Anyway, first, I'll start with the Thai Iced Tea. It was yum yum! Creamy, sweet while still having that taste of tea. The beer was not that cold though, a common problem in Manila restaurants. I liked the Laksa, it was pretty tasty. Spicy, but not too spicy, creamy and with sprouts, egg, fish balls, coriander and sotanghon. I don't eat lamb but my dad liked the Lamb Massaman Curry. The Fish in Mango Sauce, we ordered because it was their signature dish, and it sounded interesting. If you like fried stuff, you'd probably love this. The fish was in thin layers covered with crispy batter, with a sweet-sour sauce. I liked it but I feel guilty eating deep fried stuff haha. Finally, the Phad Thai... I didn't like it at all. It had tamarind sauce, which made it too strongly flavored, there were no sprouts and I couldn't taste anything peanuty. Nor could I taste the egg much (though this could be because it was served as an omelet on top, which I tried eating with the noodles because the tamarind sauce was overwhelming. Staff was super accommodating and helpful though, and food was served quickly. I would visit Ninak again and give their other dishes a try :
