What Demetris Gislason likes about Modern China Restaurant:
When I first entered the restaurant, I already smell the typical Chinese restaurant but the colors of the walls to the tables are all brightly colored which makes me feel that it is not an old-fashioned restaurant! But when I checked the menu, it is the same old traditional food which I looked forward to. I liked their cold cuts, sour soup, fish fillet in soy sauce their crispy intestines (tasty like sha-e)! Hehe! Be... View all feedback. What Lelia Crona doesn't like about Modern China Restaurant:
Went here on a Sunday night with my family to have dinner. Luckily we were accommodated right away without making any reservations. I was surprised that Modern Sichuan, which is located at BGC and Modern China is only one and they only differ in the name. read moreModern Sichuan, located in BGC, offers traditional Chinese cuisine with a modern twist. While some dishes may need improvement in terms of oiliness and saltiness, the menu is diverse enough to cater to different preferences. The serving sizes may not match the price, but the flavors are generally okay. The restaurant has a vibrant ambiance and serves classic dishes like sour soup and fish fillet in soy sauce. However, there have been mixed reviews regarding the consistency of service quality over the years. While some customers praise the excellent food quality and appropriate serving sizes, others have criticized the serving sizes and service speed. Overall, Modern Sichuan is a worthwhile choice for those with a budget looking for authentic Chinese flavors and unique dishes like spinach shrimp dumplings and Peking duck.
