I thought supporting a local business would be a pleasant experience at this small café. However, I encountered a rude older man twice during my visit. I asked if I could bring in my own coffee cup for them to fill, which they did, but the man was very rude about it and insinuated that customers always complain. I had a chicken and pesto toasted Turkish sandwich and it was absolutely delicious (my sister ordered the same and was equally delighted). For coffee I ordered my usual, an extra hot vanilla latte in a take away cup. I was pleased to find that the coffee was neither overly sweet, nor bitter. That is, at some cafes my order is often too sweet, from too much vanilla, or too bitter, from not enough vanilla, but House of Espressos got it just right. When coupled with the delightful owners, I can see why this place has an outstanding TripAdvisor rating.

Excellent coffee, excellent service, excellent food. A big surprise. Found through trip advisor and reviews were spot on.
The barista is no oil painting but the man can make a quality offering of coffee and in the end that is all one is after.
The only place to drink coffee in Maitland. I'm a coffee snob and took me a long time and a lot of bad coffees to find it.
