We had a truly amazing experience. My husband is diabetic, so instead of the high tea I had, he was totally delighted with the Ploughman's Lunch, which was plentiful,beautifully presented, with a wonderful balsamic glaze and bowl of yummy chutney. Three for lunch ...... light lunch menu, a little wine, coffee, tea, cake and scones. Ambience very old world, love the building and decore. Missed fresh flowers, albeit there were nice silk ones on our table. T'was good but something was missing ...... food was nice but not overwhelming. Music lovely but very intermittent. This restaurant in the Hunter Valley offers the best food by a long shot. The dining experience is top-notch, with exceptional service and a delightful atmosphere, earning a perfect score of 5 in all categories.
Yet again, the food, cocktails, and service were outstanding. The Rigby is truly the top restaurant in the Hunter Valley, and Nick and his team should be commended. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5.
The Rigby is an absolute standout. From the moment you walk in it’s a really great atmosphere. The staff are attentive without being intrusive and really make the experience even better. They really understand what makes excellent customer service Then there is the food a really interesting menu that delivers in flavours. Having worked in the hospitality industry for 30 years all over the world I can be a harsh critic. But this little gem in Maitland is definitely worth visiting. We had dinner but would love to also try breakfast.

Ate for the first time at The Rigby tonight, and will absolutely come back for another visit. Food was delicious, the atmosphere very pleasant and gently lit, and the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Great experience!
