Anyone expecting authentic Italian cuisine will be sorely disappointed. They have no clue about real Italian food. The pasta was incredibly greasy, drenched in cream. The pizza was oily. And the prices were outrageous. The staff were very young and inexperienced, and didn't know how to handle customer criticism. It was very loud and cold. Even the lovely garden in the summer couldn't make up for it.

Is this really Italian cuisine, or is it just a label? The name in the legal notice should tell you.

Nevertheless, it took an ho... read more There were four of us, and we ate there on a Saturday evening in October. It wasn't very busy; only about five tables were occupied. Nevertheless, it took an hour and a half to prepare our food. This was the case for each of the occupied tables. Only after we inquired were we told that there was a staff shortage in the kitchen. However, in the meantime, they were constantly preparing takeaway and delivery orders, even though those orders were taken after ! ours. There were no explanations or apologies for these delays. To top it off, the bill was incorrect; the staff was simply overwhelmed and therefore unmotivated. The ambiance is quite nice, but given the abundance of restaurants in and around Mainz, we will be eating at alternative establishments in the future.

There's no mention of this on the website! Verbal comment: They know that. Not interested in new guests who don't know that?
