We arrived at the restaurant around 3:30 p.m. on a Friday afternoon and sat outside under the sun umbrellas. It was a delightful experience. It took a bit of time for someone to take our drink order, but eventually the employees appeared. The restaurant is dog-friendly, especially when the dogs are outside. A guitarist performed until 5 p.m. and did a fantastic job singing and playing. The restaurant has three levels... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Monkey Grille:
I have been to the Monkey Bar four times. The ambiance is nice and the food and drinks are good. However, they have had difficulty with their billing system. On the first visit, they claimed my gift card had no balance, even though I had never used it there before. They eventually fixed the issue. During the second visit, they struggled to split my bill between two gift cards. On the third visit, they couldn't figure... View all feedback.
Wife and I stayed here after I had driven it a few times lately. it was like a unique place with a cool location. we both ordered the fish and chip basket. I had not expected much that it would be at $12 price when most places between $1520 for fish and chips. Good thing also because there was a fairly small portion of food we received, and the fish just so/so tasted. the place was practically dead when we stopped, but overall it is a cool place and the waitress we had was friendly. Not sure if we were back, but glad we stopped here at least once.
Building and location are very cool. Live music is on offer. Beer and spirits options are pretty good. Nice patio and on the little Miami trail. Wheel chair access very limited. Food offerings are very limited. It's supposed to be a bar and grill but the only options are pizza and fried food. Nothing from the grill. Service was very spotty. I won't go out of my way to visit again but if in the area may stop for a drink.
The bar is a bit overrated imo. I think the worst part was the loud music and noise that came both times I went. Not saying it’s not cool that it’s on the Little Miami but it’s just a bit too chaotic for me.
We reserved a table for a birthday party for my uncle on a Saturday. Had a delicious lunch (the pizza is NEXT LEVEL). The staff was extremely hospitable and Mel gave us an insight into the rich history of the building and the area, making this quite a memorable event. Mark, the owner even stopped by to make sure we were well taken care of. A and many thanks to the hard working staff and owner. Such a nice place, can't wait to go back!
Went to try their new open kitchen. Stayed for awesome live music. Will be looking for Missing Pieces on the calendar of events. Great food too!
