Chocolate Lounge is surprisingly good for an airport restaurant, but I say that while acknowledging that airport restaurants in Europe are generally better than the ones in the US. My family of four had breakfast here before our flight back to Chicago. Our server was pleasant and professional and the food came quickly. We had salmon and scrambled eggs with brown bread, a full Irish, a bagel with lox, a yogurt parfait... View all feedback.
What M M doesn't like about Chocolate Lounge:
Worst service ever. I decided to eat there because the view was nice with the large windows and the menu had some nice looking items. I sat for over 30 minutes without anyone coming to the table to take my order. There are signs posted that they take your order at the table. A lady walked out before me. Chocolate Lounge is surprisingly good for an airport restaurant, but I say that while acknowledging that airport restaurants in Europe are generally better than the ones in the US. My family of four had breakfast here before our flight back to Chicago. Our server was pleasant and professional and the food came quickly. We had salmon and scrambled eggs with brown bread, a full Irish, a bagel with lox, a yogurt parfait with granola, orange juice, and coffee. We each enjoyed our meals with the exception of the yogurt parfait I didn't like the granola very much. The prices were fair, the seating is comfortable, and you can eat while watching the planes come and go. It's not fine dining, but for an airport it's pretty good.
Worst service ever. I decided to eat there because the view was nice with the large windows and the menu had some nice looking items. I sat for over 30 minutes without anyone coming to the table to take my order. There are signs posted that they take your order at the table. A lady walked out before me. And the four other tables within my area didn't get any service either. I waved at a waitress and also made eye contact with two other waiters and I still didn't get anything. The place wasn't even busy so I have no idea why the service was terrible. I have nothing to say about the food as I never got the chance to order it.
Every one hears the same thing Please have a seat I will be with you in 2 minutes After dozens of people tired of hearing the same story 30 minutes later I walked out 3 rd time to try this place Same each time Don't waste your time here I can't tell you about the food I have never Have been privileged enough to try it
Felt that this experience was worth creating an account for the first time... Service on my visit was Extremely sub-par. 45 minute wait for our table to get bussed after sitting down to an empty table (all tables were dirty and needed bussing). We ordered 2 bailey's mochas and 2 toasted bagles with cream cheese. The mochas arrived first 15 minutes after ordering and they were cool enough the chocolate hadn't stayed melted. After another 6 minutes one bagel arrived. And another 6 min for the second. Appeared they were possibly between shifts as there were 3 on the floor somewhat attending to guests and it was at 930am. However... This is an international Airport, usually people are here for quicker meals... Food was fine, when it arrived, mochas were cooler than expected (temperature wise), Bagels fine, cream cheese spreadable, service was terrible.
Save yourself the trouble and do not eat here, no one on the staff has any idea what's going on, our sandwiches sat behind the bar for 20 minutes with us asking multiple times where the other half of our order was. Chocolate fondue was clearly lacking.
