By far the best Italian in Ireland!! My fiancé and I went to Gigi’s last night for a last minute dinner out. Even though the place was packed, the owner went out of his way to fit us in and thank god he did because this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Ireland!! The food was absolutely perfect and the service was flawless. We live out in swords and we will definitely be making the commute regularly to eat her... View all feedback.
What Stephen Gillane dislikes about Gigi:
GiGi's offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly service that makes you feel at home. However, the speed of the service felt rushed, preventing us from fully savoring each course. The wine list is impressive, with delicious selections, though they come at a steep price. Culinary highlights included the sublime truffle pasta and the fantastic brownie, both showcasing the chef's skill. Unfortunately, the trul... View all feedback.
Went on a date night just after Christmas with my wife . We found the food amazing. The mood and atmosphere was very comfortable and with a very friendly and personal service. The staff were friendly and helpful with great advice on the extensive wines and top Italian food choices.
This is pretty much a perfect Italian restaurant. In all my life I've never experienced anything like it. Perfect food- the delectable arincini balls for a starter, melt in the mouth venison main, scrumptious amaretto and chocolate pudding desert. The wine is unreal, lemoncello fantastic and the service very hard to beat. Both our waitress Nina and the man himself Georgio were phenomenal at making us feel welcome. We'll be back. After all, we've got the rest of the menu go try.
We met Giorgio and his wife randomly at a small pub in Belfast. He invited me and my friend to his restaurant in Dublin with open arms. We said we he there the next day which he openly invited us. Well I can say it 's an amazing spot! I love family owned places and he and his son were amazing the whole way through. We arrived on a last minute reservation and when we walked in Giorgio literally looked at us and said Jason I can 't believe you made it . His wife has decorated the place perfectly. It 's such an intimate spot and the service is impeccable. His son Rudy even visited us multiple times to explain our dinner options and preferences. The meat and cheese plate is one of the best I have ever had and some of the meat the literally bring from their local town which was simply amazing. The waiter was so welcoming and consistently attentive to us and everyone he served. This place is such a hidden gem so if you are ever in Dublin and in the mood for Italian I would say hands down go to Gigi 's. It will be an experience you will never forget. And if Rudy or Giorgio asks .. tell them Jason and Lep from America recommended it!
