The only issue... read more We had a lovely birthday party at The Walnut Tree. The greeting was nice, the table service was great and attentive, and the food was delicious. The only issue was that two meals were supposed to come with thin fries, but they were served with thick, three-times boiled chips instead. These were a bit too heavy for the two of us. However, overall we were very satisfied with our experience.

We arrived at exactly 5pm when our table was booked, we were sat down and then left as if we had been forgotten about my other half went up to the bar to order... read more We arrived at exactly 5pm when our table was booked, we were sat down and then left as if we had been forgotten about my other half went up to the bar to order drinks and asked someone to come and take our food order at 5:30 and they came over at 5:45. Our starter arrived at 6:15 and then our mains was not delivered until 7pm we felt as if we had been forgotten about and we understand it was busy but no one came over to apologise for the delay or even explain that there would be a delay. The food when it did arrive was cold, and because of this I didn’t eat much of mine at all. I am very disappointed as I have been before and the service and food was amazing so to come back and receive this service and poor food was a disappointment.
