Deep Blue
Description
On this webpage, you will find the complete menu of Deep Blue from Maidstone. Currently, there are 13 dishes and drinks available.
Once a beloved destination for fish and chips, this restaurant now presents a mixed dining experience. While some patrons still rave about the generous portions and crispy batter, others express disappointment in the declining quality of the food, citing thin fish, undercooked chips, and inconsistent service. Recent changes in ownership and staffing appear to have affected the menu, leaving many longtime customers hesitant to return. Cleanliness and friendly service continue to shine, but the overall culinary experience has left several diners longing for the high standards they once knew. Regulars hope for a return to form soon.

Had a takeaway from here a couple of months ago. Decided to return and eat in their restaurant. Ordered 2 x cod and chips. Took our seats and could here the fryer going so was expecting hot freshly fried food. Unfortunately not. The cod was OK, the batter was a bit too crispy though. The chips were luke warm and soggy. Seems as though the fish was just reheated and the chip cooked hours earlier. Very dissapointed.
Meal was okay chips tasted like they weren’t cooked and scampi was over cooked! And on a hot day you expect drinks to be cold but they were not! They were warm and no ice!!!! Attitude of the staff was disgusting!! I have never seen such horrible behaviour towards tourist, they two young girls behind the counter shouting at the tourist! DISGUSTING not worth £36 at all shocked at how bad the food and the attitude of staff was
Three of us ordered fish &chips. We ordered 3 teas. We ordered 3 rolls and butter. The order came, and we were very disappointed. The fish was very thin and hardly any batter coating. The rolls were not fresh. The tea was adequate, but not hot enough. Two portions were senior portions, but it was very poor for £8.19. The whole bill was over £31.00. This used to be a good restaurant for fish&chips, but sadly,no more. Will not return. Sorry.
Went there today and i had a seniors fish&chips with what is suppose to be free mushy peas and my girlfriend had 2 sausage&chips. We had no drink and the bill was £18.50.The musy peas for a very small bowl are £2 so how are they free. They have told you the mushy peas are free but included the price on your seniors fish and chips.2 years ago you could get a seniors fish&chips with a coffee or tea(no mushy peas)for £6,25.I have noticed that there have been several changes of staff
My sister I have recently lost our mum dad, and we decided to have some lunch at parents favourite restaurant. Unfortunately the restaurant has recently changed hands twice and we are really disappointed in the quality of the fish and the chips. The staff are friendly but this will be the last time we visit this restaurant. Phil
