The room was larger than we'd expected, but the furnishings seemed a bit worn. The bed valance was a bit uneven, and the shower was less than impressive. What User doesn't like about Fredrick's:
I had a very disappointing evening at this restaurant. The menu is severely limited and doesn't reflect the quality you'd expect from a Michelin-rated establishment. Don't be fooled by any online menus! The atmosphere was lacking, with paper napkins and poor service. Breakfast was quite basic, more akin to a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They did waive the seafood charge in addition to the 12.5% service fee, which was fair. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but there were definitely areas for improvement.
We were the only customers in the restaurant, and the prices for the food were quite reasonable.
Great venue for your traditional afternoon tea. Delightful sandwiches served with warm scones, jam and clotted cream topped off with a selection of cakes. All washed down with tea from their wide selection. Service was attentive and all staff were friendly. Nice view so their gardens complimented the day.
