If you are in hurry, L'Ancrage is not for you. The service is a bit slow. That being said: on a beautiful summer day this is great place to watch the boaters, cyclists, roller-bladers, walkers and skateboarders on the multi-use path next to the patio. Food and wines are reasonably-priced and average in quality (understandable). The French fries are not to be missed, even if your nutritionist's voice is in your head s... View all feedback.
What Erin Miller doesn't like about Auberge-L'etoile-Sur-Le Lac:
It's too bad, really, because the terrasse is lovely. But that's the best part. A great place to go if you don't want to eat or drink anything, as they don't seem very interested in providing service. Annoyingly, it's also very difficult to chase down someone to be able to pay. Finally we did and will go have dinner anywhere else. View all feedback.
Staying at the hotel so it was very convenient to have breakfast here a few days. Food was good but quantity left me wanting more.
It was my pleasure to dine at the Auberge-L'etoile-Sur-Le Lac during my recent stay in Magog. The food was excellent and very tastefully presented. The prices were very reasonable and the service was fantastic. They had a large selection of breakfast items to choose from that were all delicious, filling and plentiful. Who would think that a simple breakfast could be so good! Dinner was equally stunning! While they have individually priced dinner servings, they also have a specialized Prix Fixe dinner menu that includes a choice of an appetizer, an entree, dessert and hot beverage also at a very reasonable price. The Stuffed Pheasant and Pork Medallion Tenderloin were exceptional. Along with dinner, they have a wide assortment of wines to choose from and the Sommelier is more than happy to offer his recommendation based on your chosen meal. During my stay, there were quite a few locals partaking in dinner there which is always a good sign. Highly recommended!
This restaurant is part of the Hotel and Spa Etoile sur le Lac. The food and service were great and there is an outdoor seating area that is next to walking and biking trails. It also is next to the lake. Wonderful lakefront recreational area.
Great service and outdoor seating with lake views. The menu offers a good variety for both lunch and dinner as well as a decent wine list.
The terrace in Summer, very nice. Food pretty good, value not bad, service pretty good. Limited wine and food menu for lunch, but no problem, covers a fair variety. Would go back , the setting is beautiful on Lake Memphramagog.
